Our Story
Children are naturally creative. From the moment they can reach and grab, they will be looking to make their mark (sometimes in places we wish they wouldn’t, boot polish on the wall anyone?!).
However, when those first pictures start coming they very often don’t stop. The fridge door is soon jostling for space, covered in fat bodied, spindly legged people with wide smiles along with square houses under strips of blue summer sky containing jolly suns and multi coloured rainbows.
Eventually I found myself jostling for space amongst the pictures themselves; getting the milk out of the fridge involved rearranging various pictures that had fallen onto the floor in the process and were now starting to look a little worse for wear and yet there was still a pile of pictures on the side, waiting to be displayed!
Discarding those creations would have been akin to discarding a little piece of my children’s history and development; so many of them were drawn for me and they are as precious as the photos I treasure. At a loss, I found myself bundling up the artwork and putting it in folders in a cupboard, where it remained, curling at the edges and certainly not treasured in the way it was first intended to be.
I wanted to find a way to preserve the art and have it easily accessible and that is when the idea for Alpha Artbooks took shape.
We take those piles of art in the cupboard and turn them into unique, hard cover, coffee table books which can take pride of place on your shelf and be enjoyed by everyone time and again for years to come. Our high quality digitising process means that every pencil line or brush stroke of each work of art is beautifully captured and printed on high quality matte paper to perfectly showcase those memories.
What a wonderful keepsake or personalised gift for the artist!
Now you can clear out those cupboards without a shred of guilt if you want to!
Space saving, memory making – simple!
